i have had a 55gal tank set up for over a year now. problem is i don't have much in it. truth be told it's only now starting to look cycled. it's a corner tank, tall. i have only one surviving green chromis, a fire fish, lawn mower blenny, and a yellow tang that will either go in my 150 gal fo tank or back to the fish store. i have a few corals, i will be getting more at a later date. i have 20 hermit crabs, 10 nassarius snails, and a 1 1/2 inch red fromia sea star. what should i get next? i'm thinking 20 more hermits, and maybe 10 more nassarius snails. i want to get a good clean up crew befor adding anything else. once that is done what fish would be good additions? all input is greatly appreciated.

What I've done that I like a lot is concentrate on gobies and blennies: they fit that environment very comfortably and are constantly up to something. The firefish is the biggest thing in our tank. The ywg is growing to match. But the smallest of the gobies are very intricately patterned and amusing in behavior. The tailspot blenny, another small-guy, is another very busy fellow who's amusing both in features and behavior.

You could try a couple of skunk cleaner shrimp. They are great for cleaning the tank, and the fish. Their also fun to watch! Try some other types of snails as well turbo, astrea, or margarita snails are nice additions. I always go for a good assortment of different species.Different snails like different types of algae.
