57 Gallon Rimless Build

What's up WCR, I am new to this forum but met some of ya at the mars swap on Saturday and would like to share my build. I am hopefully within a month away of having this tank up and running. Thursday and Friday morning I built a stand for the used rimless 36"x18"x21" here's a look at the build..

Saturday I brought the tank home and it needs hours of buffing. Unfortunately the cerium oxide won't arrive until Feb 8. If all fails I'll just buy a brand new tank but willing to try some manual labor on a 100$ used tank [emoji6]

Nice stand, looks we'll built! Good luck with the buffing. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you, I'm sure it'll work with some good old elbow grease!

Thanks man, yeah it looked worse in person. Looked like it was cleaned with a rake. This will be no easy task lol. He said he would give me my money back if I can't buff it out. We will see when the cerium comes next week. Not looking forward to it haha but I'll give it my best. Other wise like I said I'll just cough up the cash for a brand new one.

At the moment I am running a biocube 29, more like a damn frag system than a reef haha but this is it if ur all interested in what it looks like. Mainly mixed reef LPS at the moment. Gunna get comfortable/ learn how to dose on this 57 and start my sps adventure lol.

My ati 36" sunpower6 came in the mail,
Running Korallen-Zucht.De bulbs
3 coral light
2 super blue
1 Fiji purple

Have another 6 bulbs in the closet for future replacement. All the same

Sorry for the BS on the other thread. Plz let it stay on that one. This is mainly a diary of my new build and I don't want any drama on it. Thank you

Sturdy looking stand! The 2x4s look odd. Are they pressure treated?

From what I can see of your garage it looks about as clean as mine.

I think the Kessil AP700 looks better than the T5....
