6 Gallon Nano Build

I know I've seen it done quite a bit...so sure it will be not as exciting...but hey...though I better post it anyways!

Just really like the Fluval Edge look (that and my wife liked the look...so...that means I get to put it in the living room). So ended up picking up an Edge and starting off with my first nano attempt.

Have a 55 now so was able to take some live rock out of the other tank to start. Used live sand as a bed...10 lbs gave me a pretty good depth bed.

Added my heater, rock, magnet, sand and water...(used already mixed "ocean" water). Going to watch for what hopefully will only be a mini cycle...then I'm off.

Thinking of adding some GSP and Button Polyps. Also will be adding a couple small snails and one sexy shrimp.

Unsure on fish...probably just a green clown goby and call I good.

Having a bit of an issue finding a fan small enough locally...so going to hit the internet and get one of those. Outside of that...she's up and running.

Any comments, questions or concerns would be much appreciated!

Excellent question...I'm thinking of doing a green clown goby, some different colors of button polyps and probably some green star polyps. I really like the look of those. Guessing a couple Nassarius nails and some kind of shrimp for cleaning as well. That's the current though process...however that could be swayed or changed depending on what I've seen people having good luck with.

So its clearing up well. Dealing with the fun micro bubbles on top...going to put some filter floss stuff where the water.comes off the filter to reduce bubbles...hopefully.

Looking great! I just picked up a new 6 gallon edge today at a fire sale for $68. how's your progress - I'd love to see your current pictures... emulating your success is my goal.

Shoot I've been in hiding for awhile...thought I better update. Things going well...due for water change today...so that fun is later. Picked up a peppermint shrimp and a red tipped crab...both doing their jobs...so that's good!

Here are some updated pics! Levels are great...starting to get some signs of coraline growth. Have a bit of hair algae but its slowly going away...

Thank you very much! Sorry for the delayed response. Still love the Edge...do you have a build thread going? Any good news on how yours is coming along?

Thought I better toss a couple new pics up!!

Everything is going well...no major issues at this point. Weekly water changes and pretty light cleanings really. Very fun tank!!!
