6 line in a 16?

I have a very small 6 line that came with a 24. I'd like to move him into my 16 gallon bowfront (other fish: orchid dottyback; yellow watchman goby). The dottyback picks at the goby a bit, but doesn't seem too aggressive.

Thoughts on this size tank for a 6-line?

I just saw a couple days ago that talked about this. Basically everyone was saying they should go into bigger tanks to keep aggression down but with a YWG and Orchid Dottyback both of them can handle their own.

Not sure how it would fare long term in a tank that size though...

I really think six lines need bigger tanks. I had one in a 55 and he used every inch of that tank 24/7. I know they are small and easy to keep fish but wrasses need a lot of swimming room.

Also, dottybacks can be a little agressive to fish their own color and shape and with the sixline kind of being slim and slender (like most dottybacks) it might pose a problem.

I've had 2 sixlines. First one was in my 55 and like jordan said, he used (or she i should say) the entire tank all day long.

That one lost a fight w/a powerhead and now i've got another one in my 40 breeder. Personally, thats the smallest tank i'd put one in, but it would probably be ok in a 30. But that would be the very smallest.
