I bought a wrasse and yellowtail damsel online, when I got the wrasse he was upside down and when I went to accumulate him he was swimming in circles trying to get his head out of the water. I know I should have a quarentine tank, it's my 3rd sw fish..He has been laying on his side breating heavy for 2 days now, and is getting white spots over him and giving off a slimy liquid. Is this from stress or ich or possibly both?

I just noticed the same on my 6line. Just one spot and he's swimming, eating and doing everything the same as usual. Am I dreaming thinkin' I can get rid of this by controling salinity and temp? He's just got one small spot.

It's generally a good idea to quarantine, especially when a fish arrives like that. A bit of time in a low salinity environment probably would have saved him. Check out the quarantine article on reefkeeping for how to set one up.

I'm sorry about your loss, though, as I recently lost a sixline in QT, but he was stuck behind my pump. He was in similar condition, but regular feeding and low salinity pulled him out of it quickly (about a day)!

I went to the lfs today and they gave me 5 pills of Clout, I bought a qt tank and am getting it set up. Should I treat my
other fish now or wait to see if they show signs of ich?
Also what temp/sg should I have it at?

What online outlet did you get the fish from. I buy online all the time and the one thing I have not gotten is sick fish. Dead but not sick. I got my ICH fish from the only fish I didnt buy online! It's a tang...big surprise. NOTHING IS EVER FREE!
