6 or 8 bulb ATI sunpower?

For my 75 gallon aquarium (48'' long, 18'' wide, and 20'' tall), would a 6 bulb ATI sunpower 54 watt or 8 bulb 54 watt sunpower be better for a sps dominated tank?

thanks everyone in advance!

I have a similar question. I have a 4 bulb tek right now on a 65 (3ft x 18 w x 24tall)

Think I will end up going with the 6 bulb ati when I upgrade. I have a hunch it will be enough

oh well sorry about being repetitive, just wanted to know. I'll allways like more growth and color from my corals! Again, my apologies, I just wanted some extra opinions.

No need to apologize. I just remember you and I talking about this for a while. I just see A LOT of threads where people ask the same questions over and over and over and over and over....

Rule of thumb: 1 bulb for every 3 inches front to back.

More bulbs doesn't necessarily mean more growth or color.

I have been finding out that feeding your corals, even SPS, gives them MUCH better color and growth.

I have been feeding my acans and other LPS for quite a while but never really had anything to feed my SPS. Since I started dosing MicroBacter7, my growth has taken off on my SPS. The MB7 feeds bacteria and other food to the SPS that they can uptake.

Didn't mean to sound rude although when I read what I wrote it sounded mean.

I apologize Felix!

No offense taken at all! It's totally fine! I appreciate your great advice and everything you do for the hobby! I definitely agree with what you said and I'll take your advice. Once again thank you, and I promise I'll try my best to stop bringing up this subject. I have MB7 and i'm going to try it out soon. Hopefully that will help my future corals thrive.

By the way, what do you feed your corals?

I have a 48x18x18 rimless reef tank with an ATI sunpower 6x54

Its very, very bright and probably could have gone with a 4x54 perfectly, an 8 bulb fixture would be way overkill for an 18"wide tank

I can probably get the same results with a 4 bulb fixture but the color combos are just much better with a 6 bulb fixture

I feed my LPS mysis shrimp and pellets. I figure SPS get some food from the Mysis, Brine Shrimp and Marine Cuisine I feed. The majority of their food is coming from the MB7 and bacteria it provides.
