6 socket The Power strip

I was wondering can you have a power strip attached to each socket not one of yours but a regular one you buy a t walmart. I like the controller and everything But I am running 4 tunze ph 3 ballasts that is 7 sockets taken up already. That would be pricey to buy an extra strip at 350 bucks?

I would say yes, but make sure you do not exceeded the
15 amp total for the Digital strip and/or the individual outlet.

(You may want to wait for the official word)

But.... here is something to consider, is all your circ pumps are all
on the same outlet and that outlet fails you may wake up to a
very unhappy tank.

For that reason I split my pumps across multiple outlets.

(I was originally going to put them on the same outlet).

You can but all sockets of your extension would all switch together.

All you would be doing is multiplying the socket you have the extension plugged into.

And as Harry says calculate your loading Watts divided by Volts = Amps

SO basically you need to purchase multiple power strips at 350 a piece to get full function out of the controller? What does the 6 soket power strip cost.

Not quite sure what you mean to get full functionality.

Each kit comes with a 6 socket power strip included (other than the starter kit that has a 4 socket).

If you wish to add to the digital power strip you can purchase an additional digital bar at the time or you can opt for an analogue 4 way although these can not be daisy chained.

There is an awesome deal on at the moment that includes a 6 way digital power bar, the kit is $599 and comes with

ProfiLux plus II
PH probe
Temp probe
water level control kit
Digital power bar
RS232 cable

So right off the bat you have ph control temp control water level control pc hook up and a huge line of other standard onboard features

All that for $599, nothing comes close to that on the market atr present.

If you need more help please drop me a line and I will happily take all the time needed to go through all your options with you.

Best wishes
Michael

I guess what I meant by full fuctionality is I have 3 ballast and 4 tunze pumps that would require 7 sockets already not including my return pump or any additional electrical compnents such as calcium reactor etc

yes it can be purchased from any of our dealers, as this deal comes direct from us, any dealer can help you.

if you only need 7 sockets i suggest putting two of the ballasts on a HIGH amp extension this has two sockets giving total of 7 sockets providing you opt for these two ballast to switching together

Yeah so that is where the power strip or extension would come in hand to get the most use out of a socket.

Just a question, are your tunze controllabe? cuz, mine are plugged in regular outlet and I am using the 1-10 interface to control them, so that way no outlet is used.

yeah I have 2 6000's and 2 6055's all controllable so you can plug them into a regular wall outlet and still have them controlled through the controller if so this is a plus and eliminates the need for another power strip?

To control tunzes via the profilux you do not need to plug them into one of our power strips unless of course you want to control total shut down periods.
