60 Cube build

It's a 300 Deep Dimension. 72" x 36" x 27" Tall

I love the deep dimension tanks. Is he just using 250w or is he using 400w bulbs for the tank that depth. One of the things about having this cube tank is that it is 24" deep, and I'm keeping stuff (mostly LPS) on the sandbed which is only 1" max, so I need to try to find a bulb (preferably 250w since I have a lot of stuff up high and don't want to bake it) that will give me good enough penetration.

my friend has a 210 which is 29 inches deep and uses a 250 and his monti are growing like mad on the bottom of his tank. sick colors also. runs it bb

I have (2) 250w 14k phoenix on my 75 and with my ghetto canopy the lights are 28-29" off the bottom. I have no issues at all. As far as changing the bulbs, it depends how long you run them. I run mine 5 hours a day and these current bulbs are about 15 months old. I have not seen any drop off in growth or algae outbreaks. I have new bulbs coming that I will change out next month.

New Pictures of everything. Picked up an RBTA (secondary tank below the display) from James and he threw in a 20k bulb. I'm much happier with the look of everything since this tank doesn't have actinic supplementation. We'll see how the growth and everything does and if it colors up. I'm hoping it will.

Tank and stand. This really shows the effect I was going for when I designed this system.

War Coral won in the auction at the last meeting. Thanks so much to the guy who donated it, our club wouldn't be the same without so many dedicated and awesome members.

These are a rescue project from TJ...They're Rainbows that are finally starting to get their color back. You can see a few spots of green starting to come through. Really excited to see them once they make their full recovery.

I think its a Christmas Ornament actually...some porcelain Santa Clause from Germany in 1909 or something or other...I doubt me or my wife knows where it came from, but it sat there this Christmas.
