60" light fixture T5

Hi,

We do have the ATI Sunpower and Powermodule. We also have the Tek Light in a 60" configuration as well. If you can give me a little more description of the system this will be going over, as well as what you're keeping in there I can make some recommendations for you.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I am keeping primarily SPS with some Zoas, rics and LPS maybe a clam in the future. The tank is an Oceanic 156 gal. DIMS are 60 x 24 x 25. I currently have two 400 watt MH on Ice cap ballasts w/ 2-80 watt T5's. Looking to reduce heat and electric bill. I was also think about adding some blue LED as well. Thanks for your help Jeremy

You might consider going with the Icecap Reef Illuminations 48" fixture. A 48" fixture works perfectly on a 60" tank, as does a 36" on a 48" tank, and a 24" on a 36" tank, etc. If you look at most European setups that are open top, this is how they run their systems, with a slightly shorter fixture.

Having said that, the Icecap 48" unit has a total of 8 bulbs, with four of those being blue T5 LED tubes that are in the 460 - 470nm range. These LED tubes provide amazing pop / fluorescence in the corals, as well as provide glitter lines similar to what your metal halide does. You then have four more open spots to run T5 fluorescent tubes in.

Here is a direct link to the product on our website:

If you decide to go witih this fixture we can also give you free T5 lamps with the fixture, so the total price would be $649.99.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy this is an interesting system thanks. I did not mention that I have an enclosed hood that I was planning to hang the fixture inside will this make a difference? I am afarid that using a 48 in fixture would leave the ends dark

You will not have any issue at all with coverage using a 48" fixture on a 60" tank. I've had the same setup myself, as well as the other sizes mentioned above, and even the top corners of the system are not dim. HTH!
