I was on my way out of work when I saw you post those pictures. It looks amazing. I can personally say that is one of the best looking tanks I have ever seen.

Wow.

I saw it before your rearranging of the rock, and now it just looks amazing.

My vote is for the anthias, but I am partial to them.

A bunch of chromis would look great also!

Curious, what do you have for a cleanup crew?

as far as clean up goes..........about 30 nassarius and 5 hermit crabs (scarlet). There is a large red serpent star and a single sand cucumber.

Thats all I have in there

how about both?

I have actually just ordered 15 chromis

Only 15?

I think both would look pretty cool!

I think you have me beat, I put three in mine this week. My beautiful Japanese Swallow Tail went carpet surfing :( . I think the tang chased her out of the tank so he went back to the store. Your tank is looking great!

Got to see Pauls tank again while in the City today, I am just amazed everytime I see that monster. Pics on the post just do not do the pillars any justice. I believe I was there for over a half hour taking up his time just looking.

After seeing Pauls Christmas Wrasse I had to go buy one of my own at ART. Great looking fish, mine is doing great so far.

Thanks again Paul, always a pleasure to look at your tank.
If anyone is looking for Aquascaping ideas you have to see this tank. Paul has definatlly stepped out of the box on this one.

Thanks Chris,
I am glad you liked it. I must admit, whilst I enjoy looking at my tank I get as much enjoyment watching other people looking at it.

Once I get the stand worked on I should be ready to have an open house and hold a club meeting.

I went to get some rock from Paul today and spent a good amount of time in front of his tank as well. I have to second Chris's statement that the pictures do not do it justice. I can't wait to see your finshed product - it's going to be amazing. The pillars really turned out really well. They look very natural and give demension to the tank.

Congratulations Paul, it's inspiring.

Yesterday I added two christmas wrasses to my tank, thats now 7 in there (2 christmas, 2 melanurus, 2 yellow coris a single 12 line). I have 2 six lines, but they may stay in my frag tank since they dont appear to be fooled into entering the fish trap.

I just picked up the blue throat trigger I had on hold at ART, after a couple weeks in quarantine he will be joining the other fish in my 600.

So far I have

Regal Tang
Yellow Tang
Gold rim Tang
Purple Tang
7 assorted damsels
1 chromis (more to come)
7 wrasses (as above)
2 black clowns
2 perculas

my pearlscale, being stupid enough to enter the fish trap, is back in my frag tank doing a clean up on aptasia.

Paul.

Paul, excellent progression, fantastic. I’m sorry if I missed this in the thread, but I had read that you are/were using a ½ hp chiller. Are you still using that or did you have to upgrade to a larger size?

I am still using that chiller. It runs for about 4hrs at a time, once or twice a day. I do intend to upgrade it to a 1hp or higher model.

Thats another one of the projects I have going somewhere in the future.

My Chromis (15) and my blue throat are still in QT, but doing quite well. They will stay in QT for 2 weeks, and only then will they be released when I know they will take a variety of different foods.

Looking good Paul. I love the look of a bluejaw in a reef. I think the only time I would trust it was in a large system though. Guess that's what makes it cool!

I have kept a bluejaw in a frag tank with lots of corals, it was fine. They do not eat corals or clams.

Hey there paul looking more natural everytime i see it well done My friend.

I would think about add a few leopard wrasses they school really nice. but you need to get them eating but having a QT tank you can do that ....

I want two jeweled leopards and also at least one choati wrasse.

I may move my chromis over tonight. the blue jaw is eating well but I want him to take the pellets I use since they are garlic loaded and I honestly believe they have played a role in kepping my fish ICH free.

He loves shrimp such as mysid. I am slowly mixing the pellets in with the shrimp and garlic extract in the hopes of getting him used to the pellets.
