Those are good pics..........makes me jealous
Don't be too jealous Paul. Just think of the cost and the huge electric bill that goes with these size tanks!!
Gary, show some of the shark exhibits.
Here's a couple from where I used to work @ Shark Reef Aquarium in Vegas. The first one I took while diving in the 1.2 million gallon shark exhibit. (I think to qualify to be a really big tank you have to have a . in the gallonage) Its one the public never sees, a view from the shark's point of view. The second is a shot of me feeding a stingray. It was taken before the opening for a publicity advertisement. This shot didn't make the cut but I'm glad I got a copy.
I am impressed that you are able to keep a store and do these kinds of projects.
On big projects there is usually several companies involved. One to do the fabrication, one for life support installation, one for panel installation and one for maintenance. I usually do one or more and sometimes all of the above. The companies I work with require if at all possible someone with public aquarium experience and preferably large exhibit installation experience.
What store is that 12,000 gallon tank going in? Is that more for Bass Pro shop?
Yes it is. It is going into a new restaurant in the store. It opens in February so be sure to check it out.
