Surger in action

I took a quick break from tinkering to record a couple of videos showing the surger in action. Too bad I didn't take the time to make these when it was first setup, clean, and easy to see in to all the areas. :facepalm: Back on page 7 are a bunch of pictures before everything got covered in algae.

Great presentation! Did you add the final lip into the tank from the beginning or did you add it afterwards? The reason I ask is that I am wondering if the lip isn't the cause of most of the bubbles in the display tank.

The lip has been there since the beginning. I did cut a section away towards the back, and it makes lots of bubbles there too. In the video, it's the area where the bubbles go down deeper instead of swirling across the top.
 
What would happen if you lowered the chute so that the spill went straight into the tank instead of dropping? Just curious.
