6000 has weaker output than 6060?

Roger,

I have my 6000 and 6060 sitting next to each other and the 6060 has way stronger output than the 6000. Is this normal for the 6000 to be weaker? I've adjusted the trim.pot on the side of the box to MAX and the output is still weak. Is there anything else I could try? I could be wrong but I thought the 6000 is supposed to be stronger than the 6060?

thanks

The 6000 should be barely stronger, I can think of too possible causes, a 6060 that is actually running a 6080 propeller, or a dirty 6000. The US 6080 propeller is the same as the 50Hz 6060 propeller so I have seen this mistake before. A 6060 prop should be slightly smaller than the 6000 prop. A 6000 prop is 42mm and a 6060 prop is 38mm.

I see..

Is it possible to take the 6060 propeller and put it in the 6000? Just the propeller, not the entire shaft.

Also, what is the diameter of the 6000 propeller?

thanks

42mm. It is possible. But the 6060.12A prop is what you want to use. Even with the same prop the two pumps will not be equal because they spin at different speeds.

i see.....

How much more output (in GPH) can I expect by upgrading the transformer from 6000 to 6100? and where can I buy that transformer?

thanks.
