6000 - is this okay or trouble?

In a previous thread I mentioned that one of my 6000's made a humming noise when spooling up to full power & now that's it's a couple of weeks old I noticed that the noise has stopped (broken in)

...........but................

I noticed that it vibrates a bit when it hits full throttle (on a mag mount). I wondered if something had gotten inside so I took it apart for a cleaning. Nothing was inside as expected but I found that the outer magnet had a scoring that runs the entire length (vertically if looking into the unit). It's a really shallow defect in the magnet & given the "aqua bearing" I can't really see any issue with it.....but....

My question is this - the vibration doesn't bother me but will it harm the unit? (do I need to have it replaced?)

TIA

Additional note: the other one also on a mag mount (same tank wall etc) doesn't exhibit the behavior.

The scratch is in the hole that the magnet rotor goes in or on the magnet rotor itself?

In the hole, it's real minor - like less than a fingernail & it's just like an abberration in the finish. You can't even really see it, just feel it.

I could smooth it out if you wanted to send it in. I don't see it being harmful in any way, likely a piece of sand caused it.

Nah, long as it's not harmful. No sand in tank - one of those tiny snails?

Thanks for the re-assurance, just didn't want to keep it running if it was causing harm.
