Could I use a 6100 set up with the flow turned down for an sps tank 3ft X 4ft.What about placement ? & last question --- How does the new controller differ,it should be out soon,Right?

It would be a lot of flow. I think I would prefer to use 2 6000's. 1 6100 would be more likely to work if you used the wider 6200 outlet to diffuse the flow but I think the results from 2 6000 and a multicontroller are more likely to be satisfactory.
