6000 problem...

Nothing to see Move along
Well I bought a 6100 (it is actually a 6000 :( so I am getting a partial refund) off this site and received it today.

When I pulled it out of the box, I noticed that it was very dirty.

Looking at your thread on cleaning it, I removed the drive unit.

It is covered in calcium, and does not have the bushing attached (small round part with the red). That is lodged in the housing I assume.

When plugged in, the unit alarms.

How do I get the bushing back out?

Right now it is disassembled and in a diluted vinegar bath.

Thanks, John

The vinegar bath worked great!

I cleaned it this morning and now it is running great!
