6000 stream in 40gallon

I currently have a 40 gallon and purchased one 6000 and the controller for it. Where would you suggest the placement of this?

I had my 6000 in the back pointed at the front. Gave me good movement and had detritus build up in the front corner opposite the flow. If you have sand, you will not want to use the 6000.....waaaaayyyy tooo much flow for sand.

As coolie said, I would only recommend it if the tank is bare bottom and SPS.

I have aragonite on bottom. Too strong even if the controller is set at its lowest setting?

If it is coarse aragonite and only SPS it is OK but you would be better off otherwise with a 7400/2.
