This next part was a little nerve wracking for me because I didnt want to damage the tank. I used a router to remove the 1/4" black acrylic for the backlit cave... it was a real pain and made quite a mess. Its a good thing that the tank was made out of 1 1/4" acrylic because I went a little too deep in a few places.

The black acrylic is out and the mess cleaned up.

You can see through the acrylic but there is still alot of sanding to do... I really beat the heck out of it.
