hey roger! need some advice please! i have a 150 60 x 24 x 24, i was thinking of just putting one 6010 from back right to left front, would this be enough flow for a reef tank? i also have 1100 gph return pump with two 3/4 returns, one to the left and one to the right!! overflow is in the center. any help would be great!!!

I am very sorry it took so long to get back to you, apparently this one fell through the cracks. You could start with one but the flow on the 6010 tapers off drastically at 4ft. You must consider that the flow is coming from a 2" nozzle. It is like if you had a 2" garden hose and the same flow you normally have, the water would just dribble out. Maybe 6110, not run at full power would be a better choice or best of all 2 6000 and a multicontroller or 2 6010.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!! i thought the 6010 was good for a 5 foot tank at the max, i will change may thinking and go with the 6110 or the two 6000"s. thanks again roger!!

No, the Strreams take some getting used too. The best I can explain it is try to imagine your home garden hose. Maybe a 1/2" or 3/4" outlet with about 1000gph. Now imagine that hose was 2" and had the same flow, the previous 4ft stream is now just kind of bubbling out the end. The 6100 is good for a 7ft tank or even 8ft so it is a tough call.

i was afraid the 6110 would be to strong for a 5 foot tank with 5 to 6 inch DSB, but i guess i can turn it down to about 75% or what ever it takes to make it right. dont want to have sand blowing around every where.

Yes, or you can come up with something yourself, in all honesty you can do better yourself but you have to be willing to cut or drill the acrylic, I think Photobarry had the best solution but i forget which thread it was in.

THANKS, i saw that post where he cut round hole in the corner, i may do that. thanks again for your help!!!
