6015

I noticed that my magnet off a 6015 is starting to get bubbles on the magnet; the one that has the c clamp, can you just remove the c clamp and switched it on the other magnet? Thanks in advance

You could, is this an older 6015 that had the coated magnet? The clamps can be difficult to remove without breaking, I have the best luck using a brass screwdriver to push the tabs from the back, Harbor Freight sometimes has brass or berrylium (spark proof) screwdrivers, you can use a steel one but the magnet keeps trying to take it away, you can also cut and fold up a coke can into a screwdriver.

Good ideas Or could I buy some new C clamps as well? It is a older model I did buy it new but not sure how long ago, but the magnet is coated. I also have the newer version as well.

You could but just keep in mind if it is less than 2 years old, it is under warranty and even after 2 years, call me and I will discount the replacement parts.
