one of my 6025's clip where the prong and the magnet is loose.the PH doesn't fall off but if i touch it the PH and clip easily comes off the magnet.should i use a little drop of super glue?also i cant remember where i read it but roger had suggested to put plastic or something like that to reduce the noise.these little buggers are noisy.I put a piece of 1/4 foam sheeting on the inside of the DTand that seemed to make it loudier.A little help please when you get a chance.thanx

It sounds like you have older 6025's, likely the shaft inside the pump is broken and you have the old lexan clamp which became brittle and broke. The best option is to send me the complete pump and we will replace it if necessary or fix it up to current specs.

how can i check it myself before i sent it out?the c clip isnt broke but it is loose where the clip and magnet connect.if i take the PH off the glass while its still on you cant really hear it.if the shaft was broken it would be loud all the time right?
thank you for your help.

Yes, maybe it is just the clip, if you PM me your address I can send the clip, if you open the pump you should be able to see if the metal shaft inside is broken, you just have to pull out the drive unit and check.

ill check it out.also how much do the clips cost because i have 2 6025's but im only having problems with right now but who knows when the other will brake.
What type of material do you think i should use to quit it down?it 1/2 glass..doug

If you have the rubber feet on the magnet and the clip is solid, that should be all you need, I will send the clips no charge. How old are the pumps?

i just bought them from a guy that use to work at marine depot.they are brand new in the box when i got them.I did lose 1 of the rubber feet when installing them so i put a little peice of rubber in its place.now how old are they, ill call him to find out.ill send you a pm now w/ my addy.

I just got my 6025 in the mail and put it together. While I was getting ready to put it in my tank I placed it on the ground a bit too close to the other magnet. The magnets snapped together and broke off two of the dinky little prongs that hold the bracket to the magnet. I'm gluing the bracket and magnet together now with rubber cement. :-/

I will send you a new clamp free of charge if you PM me, but the tabs are plenty strong in normal use and we are not responsible for this sort of damage, the instructions clearly say to keep the magnets far apart or with the cardboard between them at all times.
