6025 failure

Hi,
I have a 6025 that has been running for about 3 weeks now (24hrs, not on a timer).
I did a water change over the weekend and when I turned the system back on, the 6025 failed to start. Tried it a few times, plugging and un-plugging... Nothing.

Who should I deal with on this? You, or Marine Depot?

Any suggestions on something I may have missed?

Oh, and to everone reading this, I am in no way bashing this product. In fact, while it was running I was 100% sold on how awesome it is. Love the mounting and 360 degree adjustment along with the low profile. Unbeatable!!

Remove it from tank and check to seeif magnet is loose....if not and you try again and it doesn't start to spin, nudge the impellar.

nudge the impellar.

I've had to do this a number of times. Check to make sure it's UNPLUGGED, then stick your finger in and just move it slightly. Plug it back in and I bet it goes.

I've started one of mine a couple of times by plugging it in then nudging the prop with a chopstick. This may not be a Tunze approved method!

It may have a defect, in which case we will replace it. Open it up and see if the shaft is fixed in place, it should not come out.

I did the "chopstick" and it started up.

I have had it off while it was down, so as to not blow the motor.

Rvitko, I will check the shaft when I get home.
Thanks again for the great follow-up and superior customer service. Tunze USA rocks!!

Try getting this support from some of the other companies!!

Thanks but I feel really bad for the problems we have had with the new pumps. I really appreciate your compliments though.

rodger i have 2 from one from the first batch one from the second an i have no problems i think they are fantastic
just knowing that if something goes wrong i can turn to you makes the risk outweigh the reward in my opinion

I agree! that is why I made the decision to go Tunze over hydor.

rodger, i purchased two 6025 back in november. i took them apart for cleaning for the first time just the other day. one of them did not have a shaft in it and the other one the shaft will fall out if you turn it upside down. i noticed you mentioned that they should be fixed in place? What do i need to do to get mine fixed? thanks john

6025 Failure

I did a water change and had to turn it off. When i plugged it back in it would just hum it doesn't come on. I have played with it for several hours and still nothing. Is it possible to get it replaced? I just got it in December.

Please just send me the pumps and we will replace them for you.
