6025 Going Backwards

Roger,

You sent me a replacement 6025 motor and now from time to time when it restarts it goes in reverse (pulling in water vs. pushing). I place my hand in front and it reverses itself and works correctly. I had it on a 30 min on and 15 off cycle. Currently I have it on 24/7 because I am afraid it will suck in a fish. Any ideas??

Paul, do you just ahve the one pump? I ask because I was wondering if we could try troubleshooting with a part from another pump.

Roger I have 2 of the 6025's. You sent me replacement motors for both (loose shafts). The other one is working fine. Let me know how to proceed.

Try swapping the drive unit (prop assembly), one might be a tight fit. Be careful not to lose the stainless steel washer under the drive unit/
