6025 impeller bobbles...

i have two 6025's and one 6045.

the 6045 is rock solid and spins like a champ.

one of the 6025 also puts out water like it is suppose to.

the other 6025 is the first one i got and the impeller bobs around as it spins.

initially, i thought this was normal until i got the other 6025 and 6045.

is this detrimental to shorten pump life?

what is the best course of action?

I think thats a problem with alot of the first ones to come out. See if the rod is loose & push it back in if it is.

If the metal shaft is loose, get the motor replaced by Roger, push it back in wouldn't help.

As jacmyoung said, likely you need a new motor as the shaft is loose. The SS shaft should not come out.

I am in the "summer mode" and not too aware every tiny tank detail. I happened to look at my 6025 last night and noticed the "wobble" on mine as well. I powered cycled it but it made no difference. I was going to give it a white vinegar bath tonight but it sounds more severe than that.
