6025 Nanostreams

Hello,
I purchased two Tunze Nanostream 6025s nearly two months ago and have been waiting for the "break-in" period to be over, but my issues do not seem to go away. One of the pumps rattles incessantly and neither of them restart without removing them from the water and shaking the heck out of them or physically turning the propeller. Can anything be done to fix these issues? Thanks!
Chris

Yes, you may need new pumps some of the first ones the shaft was not a good fit and came loose, please check this. If the shafts are not fixed in the pump we need to replace your motors. The other possibility is the drive units are a loose fit. If that is the case we can send replacement drive units. These are both known issues that can occur on the first pumps made and have been resolved with the last production series by making the fit of parts tighter.

Ouch! I have 2 on back-order :(

No worries. This is a known issue with the impeller shaft tolerances and has been corrected since. I had the same problem.

Absolutely worst case and they continue to have issues ( not likely ) then Roger will take care of you.

Hi Roger,
Sorry it took a bit to respond. I just pulled the pumps out and both seem to have different issues. On one, the shaft is separate from both the prop (magnet) and motor. On the other, the shaft seems to sit in the prop better, but is very loose in the motor (this is the one that rattles). Are these issues that can be resolved? Let me know if my description is confusing, or if you need pictures. Thanks!
Chris

I forgot to mention that when I purchased the nanostreams, one came with an appropriate sized "grill" or cover, and the other was too large (possibly for the 6045?). Is there some way I can get a grill to fit the 6025? Thanks!
Chris

You need new motors. The shaft should stay in the motor and the prop assembly should pull out. I can supply a new grill, you probably got one for a 6060/6080/6000/6100. The 6045 outlet is the same diameter. Can you send the pumps in for replacement?

Sure thing Roger - it's a good thing I held on to my SEIOs and MJs! Just let me know where to send them - you want the original boxes, magnets, shroud, etc. or just the motors (or motors and props)?

I just need the motors if the clips are in good shape.

Roger - I purchased my Tunze back in January - both started rattling last week. I took them out to clean and on both on them the prop assembly came out with the shaft - everything seems a bit loose - which accounts for the rattling. Is this the same issue as Testhead 1313?

I'll be sending mine back also, just noticed today it was making a racket. The shaft pulls out of the motor also.
