6025 sporadic function

Hi Roger,

I have 2 6025 Nanostreams (purchased ~2007) that work sporadically. If I clean them and run in sink, they start up immediately. Once I put them in the tank, they either work or don't. I can reach in the tank and shake them and often this gets them started. Once running, they don't stop, but if I shut them off, they are often difficult to get started again.

I notice when opening them for cleaning that the shaft comes out easily and doesn't easily seat perfectly in the middle. One of the impellers has a white plastic bit on the bottom, but the other not.

So, can I buy replacement parts, or are these repairable at a moderate cost, or would I do better to retire them?

thanks,

While they could be fixed, it is not cost effective, if you give me a call I would discount complete new pumps to less than the parts you would need and it is a better fix. Main problem is that not one single part is the same as it was in 2007 so the front housing won't fit right, etc, if we just change the motor and propeller.
