I have two 6045s and one 6025 stored for a over a year. I cleaned them up but now i remember why i pulled them out. One has a broken prop and the magnet is stuck inside the motor. How do i remove this and what is the part number to replace?

Before i set them back into the tank, how do i tell if they have the problem with the shafts that break. I already had replacement clamps sent when the originals broke. I just dont want to find them broken in a few months. Can i send you all three and check them?

You are welcome to send them in.

If we sent replacement clamps after October 2007, you should be all set, that is when the new clamps came out.

The shafts that break were on pumps made before June 2007, they will come to a flat tip, the newer shafts have a tip more like a bullet, somewhat rounded to a point.

If the propeller is seized by calcium it will be very difficult to remove, but if the propeller seperated from the magnet and that is all that is wrong, if you hold the pump, thrust down like you were going to throw it (but don't, hold on tight), the magnet should be thrown out of the pump. Either do this where no one or nothing can be hurt or broken by the flying magnet or loosely wrap it with a towel to catch the magnet.
