6045 faulty ?

Hi,

I have a 6045 which can when turned on, suck water into it, rather than pump water out. If I turn it back off and back on a few times it eventually starts pumping the water the right way.

Would I be right to say that this is 6045 is faulty and I should ask for a replacement ? It's still less than 12 months old.

This would likely be caused by lime build up between the shaft and drive unit, I would start with cleaning it thoroughly with some vinegar and a small brush. If any part was needed it would only be a drive unit or disk.
