6045 nanostream question

Greetings,

I bought (2) brand new Nanostream 6045's. I put them on either end of the back of my tank and faced them towards the front glass.

One of them seems to move more water than the other. The one side is moving a little of the sand on the bottom and the other side is not. I let them run for a couple of days like that.

I then swapped the sides, not moving the magnet mounts and the one that was stronger was stronger on the other side as well.

I do not see or feel any difference between them other than the sand movement.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

You might try swapping the drive units, I suspect you may have gotten one with a 50Hz drive unit by mistake.

The drive unit is the propeller assembly you just pull the cover off and remove the propeller assembly. A 50Hz pump has a slightly bigger propeller to get the same flow at a slower speed of rotation, the US is 60Hz, most of the world is 50Hz.
