6045 question

I recently bought a used 6045 from a fellow reefer. It is working, but I'm not sure what one looks like when it is running properly and I have a few questions to make sure mine is. The propeller is rocking around inside the hole and it makes a quiet rattling noise when you get close. Also, the metal shaft comes out of the motor block along with the drive unit, and the washer at the end of the shaft appears to be corroding. Sometime when I plug it back in after feeding it takes a bump to get it running again.

Is all of this normal?

Thanks Roger!

Upon closer inspection it appears that the shaft has snapped off of the motor block. Does this mean that I will need a new motor block?

Also, where does the item "6025.74-Disk for Drive" attach to? From the picture it looks like this part is black plastic. I don't have this part, that I can see, and the metal washer that I have doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere.

The disk is on the shaft under the stainless steel disk. If the shaft is broken you need a new motor. Send in your complete pump and we will replace it.

that's awesome service, Roger! No questions asked - just return, and replace, even if purchased second hand! That's a major reason I support Tunze products! Keep up the great work, Roger :)

Exactly. My 6025 broke a shaft. Returned it and they sent out a replacement pronto. Great service. Try and get that from the makers of most other pumps.. Youll be disappointed.

Roger ...... you never cease to amaze me. Quite honestly and seriously the best customer service I have ever seen. Thank you
