6055 C-clamp broken

Hey Guys!!!

As I told Roger a little while ago, I bought 2 Tunze 6055's and multi controller to compliment the 6045's that I already had. They are GREAT!!
And all my animals are LOVING them too. Take a look...

The only thing that I have a problem with is the C-clamps. One of the 6045's tabs broke on the upper right. Now the C-clamp on the 6055 lower left has broken half way up the clamp on one side of the pump. These pumps are only moved in order to clean the glass. I haven't even had the 55's long enough to remove them for cleaning. The only thing holding them in place is either coralline or power of the pump pushing back against the clamp and magnet.:eek1: Do I need to send these to you or order new ones?

The clamp was redesigned a few months ago and now uses a different plastic. Send Roger (rvitko) a pm or email with how many you have and either what happened or a link to this thread and your name and address and he will get you fixed up

I have the same problem. Two of my four 6045's have had the clamps break without being touched. Now can I expect the remaining two to break? I originally was going to upgrade these to the 55's but the structural issues made me change my mind. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that is just going to break. If I can get the clamps replaced and they prove reliable, maybe I'll be convinced to upgrade and go with the 55's. Customer service and product quality mean alot, especially now when money is tight.

SHowald72 - the clamp revision has solved the problems with them breaking.
