6055 clicking.

I have two sets to 6055 controlled. One set for my main tank and the other on my frag tank.

One set it quite no sound when it switches from one pump to the other. But the other set, clicks when it switches. Anyone know why this happens?

Drdoolittle, i suspect one set is the new model while the other that making noise is older. The 6055 model has change couple time due to the clicking sound. You should PM contact Roger for the part...

I too have this problem. Is this an easy thing to fix? Must it go in?

It is just a matter of changing the stainless steel disk to a graphite/plastic disk and changing the drive unit, it is fairly easy DIY. If you PM me your address and how many pumps you have that click I will send the parts, all pumps we shipped this year should have the new parts already installed.

Reef Hobbiest, your pump click during feeding mode is normal. It is the fish safety feature that build into the controller
