6055 confused

I posted yesterday about the 6055 with a battery backup, and it was stated at 12 volts 700 GPH is the max flow. If I use a 6055 with the Neptune Apex 0-10 volt control my max flow will only be 700 gph? I am sorry for sounding naive but, I'm getting ready to spend a bunch of money.

The controller is a totally different issue, it is fed 8V by the pump and the controller modulates this as a signal to adjust flow speed.
