6055 nano on controller spitting on feed mode

I just put my 2 new 6055's in the tank (they rock in a big way) and attached them to my existing Tunze controller that ran my 6000's. When I hit the feed mode on the controller the nanos spit every 15 seconds or so...the 6000's were always off during the 10 minute feed mode. It is quite annoying and can't be good on the motor to turn for 1/2 a second, shoot out water and then stop to be repeated every 15-20 seconds while in feed mode. Any thought as to what could be the problem???

I don't think you have a problem? Mine do the same thing and if I remember correctly the theory is no fish will be injured, it scares them away.

Ahhhh, well that makes good sense. Slightly annoying none the less. Hopefully you are correct and it is not bad for the motor, that was my main worry...I can live with slightly annoying :).

I too read that somewhere. When food timer is activated the pumps will pulse for a split second every 20 seconds or so to keep fish out of the pumps so when the pumps do turn back on they don't get chopped up.
