6055s to replace 6025s?

Hi Roger, in my Juwel Trigon 190 litre corner tank I have two 6025s But would like the safety of battery backup - I know that 6055s are the smallest dc capable pumps, can they be dialled down to the same output of the 6025s as I don't need the extra flow?

Also, do you know if I have the 6055s controlled via GHL Profilux and there is a power failure the Profilux will output 0v so will the pump switch off even if it has a 12v battery supply via the safety connector? Thanks, Andy

Yes, the Profilux would turn off the pump in a power failure if it was off. In this case our controller would be better as it is is powered by the pump, if the pump has power the controller has power, you could also use no controller and still turn the pump down. By adjusting the power supply voltage the 6055 has the potential to be the weakest or strongest nano Stream, at 15V it is roughly equal to a 6025.
