6060 - maximum distance

Was contemplating a tunze 6060 to replace some maxijets.

I have a 4' length 90gal. Due to thier cost, I will be limited to one 6060.

Will this be enough to span the length of the tank and feel the effects on the opposite end?

I have a 6060 in a 120g 4 foot tank. I flows all the way across without a problem.

Can I count on it getting all areas, including current dead spots?

Or will it still need another powerhead for that.

Can I count on a piece of rope being long enough for what I need? Not always.

Your question has variables which can change the answer.

1) It's placement.
2) The placement of everything else around it.
3) How much stuff it is moving water around.
3) The direction in which it it is pointing.
4) The type of livestock you are keeping.

I had (4) 6000's in a 130 gal SW fish, mixed SPS & LPS tank chocked full of LR. I had them on alternating cycle to blow around the LR.
I now have (1) 6000 in the same 130 gal w/ FW fish & plastic decorations.

As Luke said, any constant flow will always leave areas where debris can accumulate, randomness is really the only wway to prevent this and for this you need two 6000 and a multicontroller.

You forgot one variable.

A loan! 2 6000 and a controller. kudos to all that can afford them.
