6060 w/ DSB

I am setting up a 75g (48x19x18) with a 5-6" DSB. It will be almost entirely SPS and tridacna.

Will a Tunze Stream 6060 work with a DSB in such a shallow tank? Will it be enough flow for the whole tank or will flow be too linear (no overflow, sump etc)? Where should I position it?

I think it would be best to use a 6000 so you have the control and some randomness, in my opinion and practical experience a 75 with a 6000 and a wavebox is the ideal.

Thank you for the quick response! Doesn't the wavebox come with a 6200? So you suggest having both the wavebox and the 6000 powerhead? And the sugarsand DSB won't be a problem with that much flow?

The wavebox has a Stream inside it but it is not producing anything but a rocking motion it is a directionless flow that lifts and suspends debris but that is it. It needs a directional flow source to work with it. The 6000 may cause some trouble with the DSB, I can't promise it won't especially a new DSB that hasn't settled I would anticipate some sand movement, but the 6000 can be controlled so you can reduce the flow and you can't do that on a 6060.

I have a 6000 with single controller alternating between min and max in my 72 with a 5" DSB. It's on a magnet on one side angled across the rock work toward the back glass and the sand is undisturbed. It's a lot of flow but I could definitely see running a 6000 on each side one at a time or a 6000 and wavebox.
