6095 running options

Say guys, 4' 120 gallon. Pumps on the back far sides.
I bought a cable to link them. Guessing for longevity, and overall good things, run them opposite linked together? Using the supplied 7090 controller that came with them.

The wave is cool, but does that shorten pump life?? And not sure how that works with 2 pumps. ( is all the rocking hard on a tank? Lol)

Thanks so much for any information, this is my first crack at controllable pumps.

The only harm done with off and on is more cleaning is needed. As long as the pump is running it is being cooled, when it stops, heat from the motor is radiated into the propeller well without cooling flow, more calcium precipitates so it needs to be cleaned more.
