60g Lighting ?

I am setting up my new 60g and have a lighting question.
I currently have a 4X65W Coralife Retro.

Would this be enough light for the 60g?

Maybe T5, if so which kit?

depends about what you want to do. what are the dimensions of the tank? what types of corals do you plan on having? is your coralife a power compact fixture? - you could use it but you would be limited to certain types of corals.

The tank is 48x15x18. As for the light they are power compact. I plan on having a little of everything as time goes by. Maybe some mushrooms, zoas, softies and then SPS. Looking to only green corals.

If you're looking for SPS down the road, look at the Tek T5 4 or 6 bulb fixture with individual reflectors (not sure if the 6 bulb would fit, but if so I'd recommend it over the 4 bulb). You should be able to handle anything with that.

So it looks like the 48" 4x54W Tek 2 T5 Retro Kit will fit under my hood. THe 6X54W is to big.

Now the big question, which light to purchase? Looks like I will be purchasing from ReefGeek, so the choice would be from there selection.

maybe:
Super Actinic
14K Aua Blue
10K Aqua Sun
?

If you go to the lighting section of www.marineandreef.com, there is a link to a nice Hamilton lighting chart that shows exactly what is needed to keep particular types of corals in a specific size tank. The depth of the tank, of course, is the most important factor. If it does not show your exact tank, then simply choose the one closest to it with the same depth.
