Ok I went away on vacation (for 2 days) and came home to one of my 6100's alarm going off... i pulled out the propeller and magnet and dude the cleaning of calcium build up that i had done about a month before..... put it back together... it still beeps... took it apart and cleaned it again... and again and again and it still beeps....

The little cap and red oring spin freely on the end of the magnet.. like i can spin it with my finger and it will spin around an extra time or 2 before it stops... but for some reason when i put it in the tunze the alarm just goes off and the thing doesnt spin..

PLEASE HELP

I would send the pump in. If the drive unit is clean and no pieces are missing and the magnet isn't cracked, anything beyond that will require being sent in for service.

What kind of turn around time are we looking at? That end cap with the rubber washer i think might be getting stuck in there and that is preventing it it from spinner.... i couldnt get the end cap to fall out until i blasted some air in thier via a turkey baster..

could calcium be built up on the inside?

I just looked at the magnet on the prop again.... is there supposed to be a seem on the magnet?... I might have a hair line crack the whole length of the magnet on both sides.

That could be it, it should have no seam. If it is cracked it has multiple poles and cannot spin. Do you have another you can try to test it?

Hey Roger I pulled the magnet from the other one and put it in the one not working and it still didnt work.. I put it back in its original pump and it worked again fine..

The magnet is definently cracked on the one 6100 but it looks like the pump might be defective also.

Iv only had these things installed since the end of Febuary/early march..

What do I do from here?

Send it to me, include a note regarding the crack in the drive unit so I can be sure we remedy this.

Yes, it was repaired and returned yesterday. It had a faulty Hall Effect sensor so we changed the motor block. Likely the cracked magnet caused it to burn out.
