6100 on 7091 not controlled

Hey guys, I tried to look this stuff up before hand but I haven't found much. Anyways, as mentioned I have a 6100 on a single controller and I don't use a photocell on it. The other day I noticed it seized up, took the controller off and it was in alarm. Soaked it in vinegar over night and the pump is running perfectly on its own. When I plug the controller to it, the pump stops running altogether, take it off and it runs. Its all mounted on the outside of the stand and Ive checked the connections, but I don't see anything wrong.

Any thoughts?

Disassemble the pump and clean it thoroughly as shown in the thread at the top of the forum, my guess is the drive unit is locked up, the upper bearing is cemented to the magnetic rotor, parts 3000.61 and 3000.63, as a result it will work at full power but long run this will destroy the motor, when the controller lowers the power it stops because it cannot overcome the resistance.

That did it, thank you very much!

I thought I had cleaned it well before, but apparently not :)

Thanks again!
