I believe that the small circular end piece of the propellor is stuck inside of the unit causing it to not work. Do I need to send it in? Please excuse the fact that I don't know what the piece is called.
That piece should stay down there, it is called the upper bearing. You can remove it most easily with a pick tool available at sears or Lowes. They look like dental picks and they use them for automotive, mainly removing orings and small parts. If the part is really dirty the drag would cause an alarm. As would any build up in the hole of the magnet itself. Inside the propeller assembly magnet is a hole that the water flows through to cool and lubricate the pump.
