6100 stopped working

I've had this 6100 running for 1.5 years now with no problems. The pump just stopped spinning yesterday. I turned it off, took the silver box apart and didnt see anything wrong, so I plugged it back in and I could hear a little buzzing going on inside the silver box. I put the cover back on, plugged it back in and it started working again, for about an hour or two, then it died again.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Or where I can send it in for work?

First check the top thread on cleaning, typically an intermittent alarm is caused by the upper bearing being stuck to the drive magnet. If that doesn't solve it, it can be sent in for repair.

ok, I'm going to go home tonite and take apart the pump, do a thorough cleaning, and see if that fixes the problem.

Just to clarify, the box was not emmitting an alarm, rather, there was a buzzing coming from the electronic board on the inside of the silver box.

A buzz can mean the pump is stuck or dying or the driver is starting to fail, but usually a bad driver also gets hot at the top bracket.
