my 6100's are making a ticking and humming noise in between intervals, is that normal?i know the bearing bushing has wear marks more on one side then the other, could this be the problem? Also can i still get parts for these pumps?didnt see them on your web site.i want to replace any parts that would help quit ti down.im only running them at 30%-40% power.

thank you

You probably need new drive units 6100.700, you can order these on tunze.com. It sounds like you have the oldest drive units with brakes shoes and they are dragging or worn.

roger, tried ordering 2 driver units but it will not take my card.keeps saying something about server and cookies.all it did was make me hungry.anyway im going to be at work and wont have access to a computer so if i pm my cell# can you call me first thing so i can get those shipped out?thanks roger.

BTW,your right they are older one's w/ the brakes, 03' is when they where made.if the pump dont turn off can i just take the brake shoes out intill the new ones come?

You could take the brakes out and glue the shaft to the magnet with epoxy or crazy glue until the new ones arrive.

You can PM me your info. I will call. You can also call me at 512-833-7546.

nevermind,sorry didnt see.

The ideal would be to reinsert the brakes with the glue wet, this would really lock it together.

good morning Roger,is there also a break in period for the new driver units that came in yesterday?these are louder then the old ones.any advice roger and sorry to be a pain in the butt.

There can be, be sure you changed every part you got in the set as older parts have different fit and can cause problems. We make subtle changes over time as we find ways to keep the pumps cooler and reduce calcium build up. The new drive units may always be a little louder in some older pumps, the one piece design doesn't have any play to absorb imperfections, but for the most part they do get quieter and are usually quieter than the old ones after a couple weeks.

thanx roger.i hope so or ill put the old driver units back in.i did swap everything out.
also,do you still sell the fish guards that go on the pumps?

You mean the 6080.20 or the 6080.13? Both are available. Keep me posted, I can still fabricate the old drive unit 6100.600 from parts on hand.
