6105.500 Safety connector ?

I just purchased a Safety connector to have just in case. I know it would be ideal to have it wired to a back up power supply that would kick in automatically. Could I just pull the battery out of my car and use that in an emergency?

Yes, lantern batteries also work, 2 6V lantern batteries wired in series will run the smaller pumps a couple hours.
