6105 & 7096 settings

Dolphin Finatic
I have a single 6015 and mp10 in a 125g 6 ft tank. The mp10 is wide open and the 6015 is .completely turned down with 18v jumper. With the unit turned up the slightest it buffets my lps pretty bad. The tank will be lps dominant with sps here and there, what would ne my best settings with 1 6015 & then a second 6015 in about a month. I have a 7096 coming in today and want to set this up for random flow.

Thanks

Will removed mp10 when I add second 6015

I would change the jumper to 12V on the power supply, this will cut the flow almost in half so you have more range of adjustment on the lower end, 80% of 12V is about equal to 30% of the 18V setting. You can then turn things down further. The key will be placement and bouncing the flow, typically back corner to the front 4-5 ft away is ideal, it will create a rolling current that will roll from the front around to the back.

I have the same set-up. 2 6105's in a 6ft 125 on a 7096. I have mine alternating every 7 minutes between 30-70% for 7seconds each. Any higher and it is too much. 1 6105 on 70% gives the corals at the opposite end good flow and the corals on the same end good undertow. There are no dead spots when either one is on.
