6105 clicks & stops when connected to Multicontroller

Hi, I bought a Tunze 6105 secondhand & connected it to multicontroller 7095. It worked perfectly for the last 3 months.

About 2 weeks ago I upgraded the 18v jumper to the 24v jumper & it worked well. However, last week I noticed a clicking sound coming from the pump when it changed speed & then the pump stopped altogether. I disconnected it from the electrical supply & the multicontroller & then reconnected the electrical supply & it worked fine. Now, whenever I reconnect it to the multicontroller, it clicks & stops.

I am currently using it without the multicontroller. Not sure why it suddenly doesn't work with the muticontroller. Any solution to this?

Thanks

Have you made sure the drive unit is not seized? The prop and magnet should spin freely on the shaft, if they are stuck to the shaft, the pump will struggle to start and change speeds and will eventually shut down as a safety.

Hi Roger, I've inspected the drive unit. It's pretty clean & yes, the magnet & prop spin freely on the shaft. Could it perhaps be a faulty connecting cable between the multicontroller & the socket of the pump?

That is possible, it is worth ruling out, I would also try another port on the controller.

Hi guys, yes I tried that but the problem is still there.

I added a second attenuation disc to the pump. That seems to have solved the problem for all modes on the 7095 except interval 1. Unfortunately in this mode the pump stops working after a short while.

This is a difficult one to solve, it is likely the pump based on what you describe. Are you in the US?
