6105 impeller magnet has bumps on it?

I bought and started using a brand new 6105 about a week ago. I noticed the impeller had some bumps on the magnet but I assumed quality control would have caught it if it was a problem. The pump started making some weird clicking noises as it ran, so i took it apart and put it back together. clicking noises have now stopped. but please, take a look at my impeller and tell me if it needs to be replaced. and, any idea what caused the clicking sounds?
