6105 is loud

Roger
I took out my 6015 to give it a cleaning because it was humming when it went to full power. Two things, the blue impellor has a crack around the shaft. Second is inside the motor where the impellor sits into (I am not sure if this is removeable like the older stream pumps) is kinda messed up becasue i guess at one point I tried to remove. Now it's extremely loud all the time and worst when it is in full flow. What are my options here?

Thanks
Rich

The newer pumps do not have a removable shaft, if the shaft is badly marred from pliers, that wouldn't be covered by warranty and the only repair would be a new motor block 6105.100. It may be possible to repair it but it depends how badly the shaft is damaged.

This 6105 has the removalbe shaft which is on the impelor. The blue impelor is crack on the side of it. Insdie the motor block where the shaft sits in is a bit messed up from trying to remove like the older streams with the oragne o-rings.

OK, I was confused because Streams made since last November the shaft is now permanent and is not removable. So you tried to remove what you thought was the upper bearing and the bottom is a bit scratched up? If the hole the shafts blue bushing presses into is OK, you should only need a new drive unit to fix it.

The hole that the ruber bushing goes into seems ok, i just placed an order for several parts one of which is the drive unit 6105.700

Thanks

I just recieved my parts today including the new drive unit for th 6105. I see it has a blue washer on the end, I don't have it on the one thats in my pump now, is this new or did i just misplace on a previous cleaning.

Thanks

That is a new part that was added around June 2010, it reduces the clicking on start up, it serves as a shock absorber.
