6105 making micro bubbles

where ever i place my 6105 it makes air bubbles. Any one have any suggestions where the best placement would be and whats is causing this? :(

Two possible causes, it is either vortexing (pulling air from the surface) this shouldnt happen if it is at least 4" below the surface.

Or, the water is very saturated with oxygen and the pressure change in the pump is degassing the water, if this is the case the bubbles will get worse the longer the light is on. Thinning algae and fast growing corals, reducing daylight hours or just giving the tank time to equalize will solve this.

thanks roger your right the bubbles get worse the longer the lights are on. what should i do to stop this and what could be causing this? thanks

If there is a lot of algae, removing algae will help, if there are a lot of fast growing soft corals, thinning them will help. If the light is overly intense or the duration is too long reducing the intensity or duration will help. If the tank is just new, the problem will likely solve itself in 3-6 weeks. Basically the oxygen is oversaturated from photosynthesis or new, highly oxygenated water.
